April Fifth -#20

Let me start off by saying that High School gym class does not! prepare you for what an actual yoga class is like..

Yoga is so much more then being flexible and bendy and skinny- 90% of the people in the class were tall string beans..
Yoga is actually about breathing, and once your breathing "right" or at your desired pace and length, that actually helps you elongate yourself and bend more.-I could be way off about this but that is what I got from what I was hearing.

This morning before yoga we had our "Yoga Fuel"
-banana, honey, and pb on toast!
Breakfast for winners....mhm

After breakfast my friend showed me a few moves and shit that we would be doing in the class -I couldnt bring my camera in the class so we did a mini pre-class so I wouldnt look like a complete tool face..
We then headed to the studio!
When we arrived there wasnt many people there so we started stretching...this is were I realized I was definitely NOT flexible anymore! -shit

The yoga room was insanely quiet..very intimidating.You have to concentrate in yoga -Fuck.
With that being said, of course, my mind was running rampant! I was doing a stretching thinking of how quiet it was and that I shouldnt laugh -oh look the plug in the wall is burnt..

When the class finally started Pat (the teacher -total hippie man) started singing this like prayer thing which I had no clue why but as the class went on my mind calmed down and I was doing surprisingly well all considered. I did almost fall on my face a few times but so did others. My arms and legs started to feel like jello half way through the class -thank god it was only 50 minutes instead of 1 1/2, fewf!

We did things like..
.
the downward dog -surprisingly painful move

the standing half lotus -found out im very unstable..
not that I didnt already no that

By the end of the class I felt so stretched out it was crazy, my mind also wasnt all over the place.. thats something new.
I had a great time even though I will admit I was saying "oh fuck, oh fuck, shit!" a million times in my head when I couldnt hold the positions. It was entertaining for sure!

I will definitely do this again!

#20. Go to a yoga class
